Coker Men’s Lacrosse Gains Six for 2016-17

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College head men's lacrosse coach David Olliver announced today the addition of Jacob Glass, Vinny Magro, Travis Pereira, Nick Perrot, Zach Weaver and Denton Wilks to the 2016-17 roster.

"These six guys round out an excellent early signing class for us," said Olliver." They had depth at every position and will represent Coker College well on and off the field." 

Glass is a midfielder from Simpsonville, S.C., where he attends Woodmont High School and is a member of the Wildcats lacrosse team.

He is the son of Tori Glass. He plans on majoring in business administration.

Magro is an attackman from Sugar Hill, Ga., where he is a two-sport athlete at North Gwinnett High School. He is a member of the Bulldogs hockey and lacrosse team. On the lacrosse field, he was a Gwinnett county honorable mention attackman in 2015.

He is the son of Sue and Vince Magro. He plans on being a business major.

Pereira is a goalie from Riverside, RI, where he attends Lasalle Academy and is a member of the lacrosse team for the Rams. He has racked up three state titles and .730 save percentage.

He is the son of Susan and Raul Pereira. He plans on majoring in sports management.

Perrot is a long-stick midfielder and defenseman from Chesapeake, Va., where he attends Great Bridge High School, He is a four-sport athlete and letters in wrestling, football, cross country and lacrosse for the Wildcats. On the lacrosse field, he is a four-year starter and was a team MVP his junior year.

He is the son of Diane and Steve Perrot. He plans on majoring in exercise science.

Weaver is a defenseman for the Lower Dauphin High School Falcons lacrosse team in Harrisburg, Pa. As a junior, he scooped up 32 groundballs and registered nine takeaways and five interceptions.

He is the son of Melissa Weaver and Jonathan Trostle. He plans on majoring in computer science. 

Wilks is a midfielder from Winter Spring, Fla., where he is a member of the Winter Spring High School Bears lacrosse team.

He is the son of Amy and John Wilks.
