Coach Hackney had this to say "We got off to a hot start today, struggled a bit in the middle of the round and then played solid down the stretch. Johnny Hallinger and Derek McGlaughlin played really well in the second round, with both going under par. Caleb Tidd really hit it well all day but didn't convert enough of his chances. I thought both Aaron Teece and Max Barclay did some good things as well.
I was just really proud of our guys. We have a lot of depth on our squad and our guys showed that today against a talented field.
We just want to stay aggressive and play well again tomorrow."

Overall, Coker University Men's Golf had a solid performance in the first of the National Preview tournament.
