Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Jay Jenison Cup

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Coker University men's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the fall season Tuesday (Sept. 21) with round three of the Jay Jenison Cup at the Slammer and Squire Golf Club.

The Cobras were paced by Caleb Tidd who posted a score of 70 (-2) on the day to bring his tournament total to +217 (+1), putting him in 33rd for the tournament. Jonathan Hallinger recorded a round of 76 (+4) bringing his tournament score to 212 (-4), landing him in a tie for 14th place. Coleman Bess and Fred Tindale both carded scores of even par 72 bringing their totals to 221 (+5) and 225 (+9) respectively. Bess's total placed him tied for 45th, while Tindale would finish tied for 62nd. Killian Ryan contributed a third round of 75 (+3) to finish the tournament with an overall score of 222 (+6) and a T-53rd finish. 

Coker posted an overall team score of 868 (+4) for the tournament, good enough for ninth place. The Cobras will be back in action October 4-5 as they travel to Camden, S.C. to compete in the Camden Intercollegiate at Camden Country Club. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
