Nick Waller Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division II All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. - Coker University junior men's golf student-athlete Nick Waller was named as a Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division II All-America Scholar, announced by the organization today (Wednesday, June 17).

Waller was named as one of 99 selections for Division II, and one of 614 total from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA. This is Waller's first career All-America Scholar honor, as he posted a 3.25 grade point average for the year. On the course, Waller played in five tournaments and 17 rounds for a 78.35 scoring average. Waller shot one under par (35) with three birdies on the back nine at the State Farm Intercollegiate (Oct. 8), before shooting an even par on the back nine in round one of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate (Oct. 15).

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team's competitive rounds.

The Parkersburg, Iowa native is the son of Matt and Elizabeth Waller, and is a business administration major.
