Lee Tied for Fifth, Cobras End Day One of Southern Tide Classic in Second

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's golf team finished play in the opening day of the Southern Tide Classic at Green Valley Country Club on Monday (Mar. 4) as the Cobras ended the day at -5 and in second-place.

Wanjoo Lee led the way in a tie for fifth-place after firing back-to-back rounds of 69 (-2). Haydon Norwood ended the day in a tie for 15th after posting scores of 70 (-1) and 72 (+1). Both Daniel Graves and Ethan Cairns will head into the third round tied for 20th. Graves started out the day with an opening-round 67 (-4) before shooting a 76 (+5) in the final 18 of the day. Cairns fired a first round 75 (+4) and followed it up with a 68 (-3). Nicholas Beiers rounded out the day for the Cobras with a 72 (+1) and 79 (+8), putting him in a tie for 55th.

The Cobras will hit the course on Tuesday (Mar. 5) for the final round of the Southern Tide Classic, with a shotgun start set for 9:30 AM.
