Cobras Win Queens Invitational, Ingle Finishes Third Individually

KANNAPOLIS, N.C.- A final round score of 300 and a tournament score of 590 was good enough for the Coker College men's golf team to take home the first-place trophy at the Queens University Invitational. The Cobras outlasted the host, Queens University by three strokes. The win is the Navy and Gold's first team title since winning the Conference Carolinas Tournament title during the 2011-2012 season.

Taylor Ingle led the way for the Cobras, firing a final round score of 74 and finishing with a tournament score of 145. His two-day score left him in third place on the individual leaderboard. Ethan Cairns finished in a tie for seventh individually after carding a second round 77 and finishing with a two-day score of 147. Will Bundy continued his steady play, signing off on a second round score of 75. His 149 tournament score left him in a tie for 13th individually. Wanjoo Lee finished in 16th position on the individual leaderboard after rounds of 75 and 76. Daniel Graves rounded things out, firing a second round score of 75 and finishing with a tournament score of 157.

James Medley of UNC Charlotte took home the individual title.

The Cobras will be back in action on Oct. 3-4 when they travel to the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
