Cobras Take Eighth at Mount Olive Invitational

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Coker College men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Mount Olive Invitational after a final round team score of 301 on Tuesday (Apr. 7) leading to a 54-hole score of 896.

Will Bundy led the way for the Navy and Yellow with a tournament score of 220 after a final round 74. Bundy's tournament score left him in a tie for 12th place individually. Blake Baysden shot a closing 76 en route to a tie for 23rd place finish and a two-day score of 224. The freshmen duo of Jonathan Sundstrom and Alex Rios had tournament scores of 228. Sundstrom's even-par final round was the lowest of the day for the Cobras. Rios signed off on a closing round of 79. John Duke rounded things out for Coker. He carded an 83 in his last 18 holes resulting in a 237 three-round total.

The Limestone College Saints took home the team title with a tournament score of 862. Griffin Brown of Limestone also brought home the individual title with a 54-hole score of 211.

The Cobras will be back on the course on Apr. 19 for the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Charlotte, N.C.
