Coker Men’s Golf Team Ranked by Golfstat

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team is ranked No. 16 in the country for NCAA Division II by Golfstat. It is the highest position for the team on Golfstat since a No. 11 ranking in 2009.

"This ranking reflects all the extra work this team put in this summer and early this fall," said head coach Tommy Baker. "This is a nice honor to receive but we still have a long way to go and there are many facets of our games we still need to improve."

The Cobras are coming off back-to-back third-place finishes in their first two fall events. The first came Sept. 17 at the Kiawah Island Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C.; the second Sept. 24 at the Jay Jennison Memorial in St. Augustine, Fla.

Coker has two more events to wrap up the fall season – Oct. 1 at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga., and the Matt Dyas Memorial in Carrollton, Ga., on Oct. 28.
