Coker Finishes 18th at NCAA Regional, Fuga Places 10th Overall

CONOVER, N.C.- Freshman Christopher Fuga carded a one-over-par 73 in the final round of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Wednesday. Fuga finished the tournament in 10th place at even par, with a total score of 216 in the three-round event. As a team the Cobras finished 18th overall.


Georgia College captured the team championship, followed by Barry University in second and Nova Southeastern in third. Also advancing to the NCAA Division II Championship were UNC Pembroke and USC Aiken.


For the Cobras, Diego Polo shot a 76 (+4), while Jake Murphy and Josh Clay each carded rounds of 77 (+5). Jared Crane rounded out the field for Coker with a final round of 78 (+6).


Coker's season now comes to a close. They finished in the top five in six of their 10 tournaments this season,  including capturing their second conference championship in school history and advancing to the NCAA Regional for the first time since 2009.
