Fuga Leads Cobras to Fourth Place Finish at Tusculum Fall Classic

GREENEVILLE, Ten. – Freshman Christopher Fuga (Phoenixville, Pa.) fired a three-under-par 69 to finish fifth overall, while also leading the Coker men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the 2011 Tusculum Fall Classic on Tuesday.  The Cobras shot two-under-par as a team (286) in the second round.

Lincoln Memorial took home the championship, followed by Tusculum and Tennessee Wesleyan in second and third respectively. Coker was just three shots off third place.

In addition to Fuga's exceptional play, Luke Coates (Florence, S.C.) shot a one-under-par 71, while Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) shot an even par 72.  Josh Clay (Stark County, Ohio) carded a two-over-par 74 and Matt Krieder (Westlake, Ohio) shot an 81 (+9).

The Cobras will be back on the links next week at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga. starting on Oct. 3.
