CLEMMONS, N.C. – The Coker men’s golf team completed the 2010 Will Wilson NCAA Southeast Preview on Tuesday, finishing in 12th place. The Cobras shot a combined 302 (+22) in the final round on the par 70 Tanglewood Championship Course in Clemmons, N.C. Newberry College took home the championship, followed by Queens University of Charlotte in second and UNC-Pembroke in third.

Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) was the leader for the Cobras shooting +12 (222) for the tournament, with Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) firing a +17 (227) over the third day affair. Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) shot +18 (228), while Matt Kreider (Westlake, Ohio) and Jared Crane (Greenville, S.C.) shot +20 (230) and +23 (233) respectively.

The Cobras will now break until after the semester break. Their first match of the spring season will be on February 21-22 in Savannah, Ga. at the Armstrong Atlantic Pirate Invitational.
