CLEMMONS, N.C. – The Cobra men’s golf team shot a team score of 300 (+20) in the second round of the 2010 Conference Carolinas golf championship,  giving them a two day total of 604 (+44) and leaving them in fourth place for the second straight day. Coker is 20 strokes back of the leader Belmont Abbey College (584, +24) and 13 shots behind Barton College (591, +31) in second place. St. Andrews Presbyterian College (600, +40) is in third with a four stroke lead on the Cobras after two days at the Tanglewood Country Club in Clemmons, N.C.

Coker is lead by senior Jay Goldenberg (Toronto, Ontario) and his two day total of 148 (+8), currently he is tied for seventh place. Goldenberg is followed by Third Team All-Conference selection Jared Crane (Greer, S.C.) at 149 (+9). Crane is tied for eighth in the tournament. First Team All-Conference selection, Chris Marsh (Georgetown, S.C.) has a two round total of 152 (+12), followed by Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) at 155 (+15). Freshman Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) rounds out the Cobra five at 163 (+23).

Coker will tee off for the third and final round of the conference championship on Tuesday morning. Tee times begin at 9:20 a.m.
