WILSON, N.C. – The Coker golf team dropped four strokes and improved one spot to finish in a tie for fourth place at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barton Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. The Cobras tied fellow Conference Carolinas opponent, Queens University of Charlotte, for fourth place with a team score of 592 (+16). Taking home the team title was Flagler College, followed by Barton College and then UNC-Pembroke.

Flagler’s Patrick Lamb took medalist honors with a four under 140 for the two rounds.

Leading the Cobras individually was Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) with a two over par 1146 for the two rounds, putting him in a tie for 10th place. Chris Marsh (Georgetown, S.C.) was next with a four over par performance (148), while Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) also shot four over par for the tournament. Jared Crane (Greer, S.C.) and Patrick Kirby (Paris, Ontario) rounded out the Coker five with scores of 152 (+8) and 155 (+11) respectively.

The Cobras will take to the links again on March 28-29 when they head to Greenwood, S.C. for the Bearcat Invitational hosted by Lander University.
