Daniels, WV- With three rounds of play under their belts, the Coker College Golf Team has remained fairly consistent at the 2006 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship. The Cobras improved their second round score by one, firing a third round 301 (+21), holding their spot in 12th place as they enter the fourth and final round on Friday.

 

Blaine Rogers continued his solid play shooting a two over 72 on the day, giving him a combined 221 (+11) for the tournament and moving him into the top 25. Vincent Dumouchel dropped to 222 (+12), after shooting a 77, while Johary Raveloarison improved to 228 (+18), with a three over 73. Gary Morgan shot a 79 and moved to 232 (+22) for the tournament and Benoit Gordon had an 81 and is now 249 (+39).

 

USC-Aiken remains in the lead at 868 (+28), followed closely by California State Bakersfield with an 871 (+31). Individually Dane Burkhart of USC-Aiken and Jamie Amoretti of St. Mary’s (TX) are tied for the lead at 209 (-1).

 

The Cobras will tee off for their fourth and final round of the NCAA Division II Championship Friday at 12:00 p.m. Fans can follow the action live via the internet at www.golfstat.com with live scoring.
