Coker drops Road Game to Newberry

Newberry, SC - The Coker University Men's Basketball Team dropped a midseason game to Newberry by a score of 67-58.

Jamie Muldowney, shooting strong from the field, registered a total of 17 points for the night against Newberry. Muldowney was followed by Mahmoud Bangura (13) and Jordan Jones (11) who combined for a total of 24 points. Five other Cobras were able to join in on the action by collecting the remaining 17 points. As a team, Coker shot 35.3 percent from the field, 20 percent from the three point line, and 81 percent from the free throw line.

Muldowney led once again, bringing in six rebounds for the night while Jordan Jones and Mahmoud Bangura each snatched down four. Zavier Measmer, Tate Mulkey, and Xavier Moultrie had a collective nine steals for the Cobras. Coker also registered three blocks throughout the game.

Andrew Robinson had a game high of 18 points for Newberry.

Coker will be returning to the court on Saturday (Jan. 28th) against Emory and Henry. Tip off is set for 4:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
