Cobras Head to Georgia St. for Exhibition Game Against Panthers

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will travel to Georgia St. on Monday (Nov. 6) for an exhibition game beginning at 7 p.m. Live stats for the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com

Last Friday (Nov. 3), the Navy and Gold traveled to The Citadel and took on the Bulldogs. Trailing after the first half of action, the Cobras found their offensive rhythm and outscored the Bulldogs 58-50 in the second half of play. 

Offensively, the Cobras had five players reach double figures. Jake Barrett led the way for Coker with 21 points, followed by Donte Samuels (18), Larry Cooper (15), Khalil Halls (13), and Demarco Jackson (12). In addition to recording 18 points, Samuels led the Cobras in rebounds with eight. 

Georgia St., a member of the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference, enters tomorrow's game with two victories on the year. The Panthers earned victories over Georgia Tech (65-58) and Lees-McRae (100-64).
