Coker Falls to The Citadel in Exhibition Contest

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team fell to The Citadel Bulldogs, a member of the NCAA Division I and Southern Conference, 122-98 Friday (Nov. 3) afternoon in an exhibition contest. 

Trailing after the first half of action, the Cobras found their offensive rhythm and outscored the Bulldogs 58-50 in the second half of play. 

Offensively, the Navy and Gold had five players reach double figures. Jake Barrett led the way for Coker with 21 points, followed by Donte Samuels (18), Larry Cooper (15), Khalil Halls (13), and Demarco Jackson (12). In addition to recording 18 points, Samuels led the Cobras in rebounds with eight. 

The Navy and Gold will take the court again on Monday (Nov. 6) when they travel to Georgia St. to take on the Panthers at 7 p.m.
