Cobras Travel to Hampton for Division I Exhibition

HAMPTON, VA. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back in action on Friday (Dec. 30) when they travel to Hampton University to face the Pirates in a exhibition matchup. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. with live stats and video available at www.cokercobras.com.

JaQuez Motley and Jake Barrett lead the way for the Navy and Gold, averaging 13.1 and 11 points per game. Motley is coming off a 24-point performance in his last game, his second game this season scoring 20 or more points. Barrett enters Friday's matchup with eight games scoring 10 or more points.

Hampton University, who qualified for the 2016 NCAA Tournament, is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. This season, the Pirates are sporting a 2-10 overall record and a 2-2 record at home. They are led by Jermaine Marrow and Lawrence Cooks. Marrow is averaging 14.8 points per game, while Cooks is averaging 12.3 points per contest.
