Cobras Travel to Gardner-Webb for Tuesday Night Exhibition

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team (4-2) will travel to Gardner-Webb University on Tuesday night (Nov. 29) to take on the Runnin' Bulldogs in an exhibition matchup. Opening tip from Paul Porter Arena in Boiling Springs, N.C. is set for 7 p.m.

The Cobras are currently riding a three-game win streak, picking up a 94-86 South Atlantic Conference win over the visiting Catawba College Indians their last time out.

JaQuez Motley continues to the lead the double-digit scoring quartet for the Navy and Gold. Motley enters Tuesday's contest averaging 13.8 points per game in just 20 minutes. Jake Barrett is averaging 12 points and nearly five rebounds, while Roman Hall and Miguel Priest are averaging 11.5 and 11.3 points per game. Both Hall and Priest are shooting above 50 percent on the season, ranking in the top 20 in the SAC, while Priest also ranks ninth in rebounds, pulling down 7.5 per contest. As a team, the Cobras rank third in total rebounds, averaging 42.5 per game and rank second in offensive rebounds, pulling down nearly 17 per contest.

Gardner-Webb, a member of the Big South Conference, comes into Tuesday's matchup sporting a 2-4 overall record. They are led by David Efianayi (15 ppg) and Laquincy Rideau (13.8 ppg).
