Cobras Open 2016-17 Season At SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will take the floor for the first time in the 2016-17 season this weekend (Nov. 11-12) when they travel to North Greenville University for the South Atlantic Conference/Conference Carolinas Challenge. The Cobras will face North Greenville University on Friday (Nov. 11) at 5 p.m., then face the Flying Fleet of Erskine College on Saturday (Nov. 12) at 2 p.m. Links for live stats and video can be found on the Coker men's basketball schedule page on www.cokercobras.com

The Navy and Gold are coming off a nine-win 2015-16 season. Preseason All-SAC selection Donte Samuels headlines the roster. The senior finished last season averaging 15.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. 

The North Greenville Crusaders are coming off an 11-win 2015-16 and dropped an exhibition against The Citadel on Nov. 4.

The Flying Fleet will also be making their 2016-17 season debut this weekend. They are coming off a 12-win 2015-16 campaign.

All games during the SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge will be played in Hayes Gymnasium on the campus of North Greenville University.
