Cobras Looking to Ground Eagles in Regular Season Finale

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back at home on Saturday (Feb. 27) to take on the visiting Carson-Newman University Eagles in a South Atlantic Conference matchup. Opening tip is set for 4 p.m. with live stats and video available at www.cokercobras.com.

Saturday's game will also be senior day for the seven seniors on the Coker roster. Sean Preston, Trey Marshall, Aubrey Daniel, Jalen Watson, Trey James, Deion Craig and Howard Davenport will all be honored before the start of Saturday's matchup.

Donte Samuels comes into the game averaging 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Marshall and Daniel are averaging 10.1 points per game, while Jake Barrett is chipping in just over nine points per game. Defensively, the Cobras are second in the SAC, allowing 72.8 points per game.

The Eagles travel to Hartsville sporting a 15-12 overall and a 11-10 in conference record. They are led by Charles Clark and his 21.9 points per game.

Opening tip is set for 4 p.m. at the DeLoach Center.  In addition to senior day it is also Make-A-Wish Day. Fans are encouraged to wear blue in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
