HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team will be back at home on Wednesday (Jan. 13) at 8 p.m. to take on the visiting Newberry College Wolves in South Atlantic Conference action. Live stats and video can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

The two teams split the series in 2014-15, with both squads winning on the road.

The Cobras are led offensively by junior forward Donte Samuels. The Rocky Mount, N.C. native is averaging 18.6 point per game, which is seventh best in the SAC. He has scored 20 or more points in five of his last seven games, and in double figures every game he has appeared. Trey Marshall is next; averaging 11 points, 2.5 assists and two steals per game. Defensively, Coker is allowing a conference-low 66.9 points per game and will be tasked with slowing down a high-octane Newberry offense, averaging nearly 96 points per game.

The Wolves make the trip to Hartsville sporting a 9-5 overall record and an even 4-4 in-conference record. Offensively, Newberry has four scorers averaging double-digit points, headlined by Xavier Holmes and his 16.9 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 13) at the DeLoach Center. Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
