No. 15 Lincoln Memorial Downs Coker 72-58

HARROGATE, TENN. – Three Cobras registered double-digit point totals in the Coker men's basketball team's 72-58 loss to the No. 15 Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday (Dec. 5).

Jake Barrett led the way for the Navy and Gold, scoring 14 points off the bench. Jalen Watson followed with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Jalal Abdul-Azeez chipped in 10 points.

The Cobras had a tough time shooting early on in the game, as they found themselves trailing the Railsplitters 40-20 at halftime.

Coker bounced back in the second half, outscoring LMU 38-32 in the second stanza, however it was not enough to take home the victory.

As a team the Cobras caused 18 Railsplitter turnovers, leading to 15 points and pulled down 35 rebounds.

Coker will return to action on Wednesday (Dec. 9) when they host the Royals of Queens University of Charlotte in a SAC match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Coker's DeLoach Center.
