Coker Men Looking to Conquer Anderson

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball is back at the DeLoach Center on Saturday (Jan. 10) for a South Atlantic Conference showdown against the visiting Trojans of Anderson University. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. with live stats and broadcast at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras and Trojans split the regular season series; however the Trojans ended the Cobras 2014 season in the SAC tournament semifinals.

Errick Bethel will hope to repeat his 31-point effort against the Trojans last postseason. Bethel has been the leading offensive threat for the Navy and Yellow this season averaging 18.4 points a game, second best in the SAC. Trey James and Jalen Watson have continued their aggressive play on the defensive end, averaging 6.9 and 5.8 rebounds a game.

The Trojans hit the road sporting a 7-6 overall record and a 3-4 in conference record after a loss at Lincoln Memorial. They are led by Myson Jones, Chris Ross and Nick Jackson, all averaging double figures in the points per game column.

Game time is set to begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 10) after the conclusion of the women's game. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
