Coker's Second Half Run Falls Short Against No. 10 Lincoln Memorial

HARROGATE, TENN. – A late second half run by Coker fell short, as the Cobras dropped their South Atlantic Conference contest to the No. 10 Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial, 79-71, on Saturday (Dec. 6).

Trailing by 14 points with seven minutes left in the game, the Cobras put together a 17-11 run in final minutes of action, but the comeback fell short as Lincoln Memorial held on for the victory.

Seniors Errick Bethel and Jordan Scott paced the Cobras offense with 18 points each. Sixteen of Bethel's points came in the second half, while Scott scored all of his points off the bench. Jalen Watson also scored 14 points off the bench and pulled down 15 rebounds, and Trey James added eight points and a game-high 16 boards as well for the Cobras.

The Cobras will return to the hardwood on Saturday (Dec. 13) for SAC game against Mars Hill. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Coker's DeLoach Center.
