Men’s Basketball Adds Australian Guard

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's basketball coach Dan Schmotzer announced today that Sean Preston has agreed to play for the Cobras. Preston is transferring from Young Harris College in Georgia.

Preston, a 6-foot guard, is originally from Melbourne, Australia. He attended Box Hill Senior Secondary School and was a three-sport athlete in basketball, track and field, and swimming.

"This is another great pickup for us," said Schmotzer. "We've had great success recruiting Australian players, and we feel Sean is going to give us some great depth and options at the guard position."

Sean is the son of David and Carolyn Preston.

Preston is the second addition for the Cobras next season, joining forward Donte Samuels, who signed in April. Preston's addition gives Coker two Australians on next year's roster. Point guard Bryce Arnott is the other.
