Cobras Looking to Overthrow the Royals on Tuesday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – On Tuesday (Feb. 26) the Coker men's basketball team will play host to the Queens University of Charlotte Royals in a Conference Carolinas game. This will be final regular season meeting between the two teams. Live coverage of the game will be available online at www.cokercobras.com.

In their first meeting of the season, the Royals emerged victorious, defeating Coker 66-61 on Jan. 16. This time around the Cobras are looking to take advantage of their success when playing in front of the home crowd, as they are 7-3 when playing in the friendly confines of Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. 

Julian Nelson, Andrew Morris and Sharod Williams continue to the leaders for the Cobras (12-12, 9-9 Conf. Carolinas). Nelson is averaging 17 points a game, while Morris is averaging just under 12 points per game. Williams has been a force to be reckoned with on the boards, pulling down double digit rebounds in four of the last five games. He is averaging 7.5 rebounds and nine points per game.

Queens (13-11, 10-8 Conf. Carolinas) is coming off a 76-63 win over North Greenville. Senior forward Antonio Stabler leads the Royal's offense with 20.3 points per game.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., following the women's game at 5:30 p.m.
