Coker Men's Basketball Makes It Three in a Row

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's basketball team picked up its third consecutive Conference Carolinas victory on Saturday (Feb. 9), defeating North Greenville, 70-63. With the win the Cobras move to 12-9 overall and 9-6 in league play.

After a fairly easy first half, Coker took a 32-23 lead into the locker room at the break. North Greenville found renewed life at halftime and mounted a comeback that included an 18-5 run that tied the game at 59 with just over four minutes left.  The Cobras proceeded to go on a 10-3 run of their own, securing the 70-63 victory.

Sharod Williams earned a double-double for the second straight game with a team leading 18 points and 12 rebounds. Andrew Morris added 12 points and Errick Bethel knocked down 11 points. Julian Nelson was the fourth Cobra in double figures scoring 10 points with eight rebounds.

The Cobras will return to the hardwood on Wednesday (Feb. 13) when they travel to Mount Olive College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
