Bulldogs Top Cobras 78-60

WILSON, N.C. – Sophomore Larry Felder scored a team high 13 points with six rebounds in Coker's 78-60 loss to the No. 23 Barton Bulldogs in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action on Tuesday (Jan. 8) night. The loss, the first for the Cobras since Dec. 5, drops them to 6-5 overall and 4-2 in league play.

The Cobras struggled to find any kind of offensive rhythm, but managed to stay within striking distance, trailing 37-31 at halftime. Unfortunately, the offensive woes continued in the second half for the Cobras as the Bulldogs came away with the win. As a team the Cobras shot 43.8 percent from long range, hitting seven 3-pointers. They also pulled down 33 rebounds.

Along with Felder's 13 points, Julian Nelson and Errick Bethel had 12 points each for the Cobras.

Coker will look to return to the win column again on Saturday (Jan. 12) at home against Limestone College. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. following the women's game at 2 p.m.
