FLORENCE, S.C. – Teon Beckett scored a career high 11 points for the Cobras in their 68-61 loss to UNC Pembroke on Saturday afternoon in the opening game of the Zaxby's Tip-Off Clazzic at Francis Marion University.

After a low scoring first half, the Cobras found themselves trailing 26-21 at the break. They battled back in the second half scoring 40 points, but they were unable to overcome the first half deficit.

Julian Nelson was the team's leading scorer with 17 points, while Austin Harper scored eight points with five rebounds. Bryce Arnott dished out six assists, with Errick Bethel and Andrew Morris scoring six points each.

The Cobras return to the court on Sunday for their second game of the Zaxby's Clazzic. They will take on the host school Francis Marion at 3 p.m.
