Cobras Overpower Crusaders in 81-62 Win

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Four Cobras scored in double figures, with Andrew Morris (Melbourne, Australia) scoring a game high 24 points as Coker blew past Belmont Abbey College 81-62 in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

The Cobras held the Crusaders to just 19 points in opening half with solid defense and timely shooting. Entering the break Coker held a 31-19 lead and with a 50 point second half the Cobras captured their third consecutive Conference Carolinas victory.

Morris netted 18 of his 24 points from long range, while Julian Nelson (Irmo, S.C.) had 15 points. Austin Harper (Chesnee, S.C.) added 12 points and Sharod Williams (Miami, Fla.) chipped in 10 points.

The Cobras will be back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to St. Andrews University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Morris scored 18 of his game high 24 points from three-point range.
