Cobras Vanquish Crusaders, 90-70

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's basketball team took care of business on Saturday as they rolled past the North Greenville Crusaders, 90-70, in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action. 

The guard tandem of Julian Nelson (Columbia, S.C.) and Andrew Morris (Melbourne, Australia) accounted for 47 of the Cobras points, with Nelson netting 26 and Morris dropping 21. Both players scored 15 points from three-point range, helping the Coker men shoot nearly 54 percent from beyond the arc.

The Cobras also shot just over 53 percent from the field as a team, while holding the Crusaders to 45.5 percent from the floor. 

In addition to his 26 points, Nelson also had eight rebounds, while Sharod Williams (Miami, Fla.) added 12 points and eight rebounds to the Coker offense.

The Cobras will be back on the floor for another conference game on Wednesday at Barton College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
