Saints Top Cobras 76-67 in Time Warner Cable Arena

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coker junior forward Austin Harper (Chesnee, S.C.) scored a team high 17 points in the Cobras 76-67 loss to Limestone College on Saturday afternoon at Time Warner Cable Arena. 

Playing at the home of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats, the Cobras and the Saints struggled to get their offensive attacks going in the opening minutes of play. They eventually found their groove and the Saints took a narrow 40-38 lead into halftime.

The second half was all Limestone, as the Saints held the Cobras to just 29 points in the half. For the game the Saints shot 48.3 percent compared to Coker's 43.4. 

Along with Harper's 17 points, Julian Nelson (Irmo, S.C.) had 16 points for the Cobras and Charles West (Ellenwood, Ga.) added 11 points.

Josh Corry led all scorers with 19 points, including 15 from long range. Marquis Sloan added 11 points and Phillip Moultrie had 10 points with five rebounds. 

The Cobras will be back on the floor on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at home against the Trojans of Mount Olive College at 7:30 p.m.
