GAFFNEY, S.C.&#8212;Coker College defeated Limestone College 67-55 in men&#8217;s basketball action on Saturday night at the Timken Center. Limestone&#8217;s overall record slips to 9-5 (5-4 league) after tonight&#8217;s Conference Carolinas loss. Coker improves to 6-9 overall (3-6 conference). <br />  <br />Danny Friend (Morrow, Ga.) led the Saints with 15 points and also had 2 blocks and 2 steals. Michael Barrett (Virginia Beach, Va.) scored 11 points, while Anthony Middleton (Holly Hill, S.C.) and Jarrell Douglass (Leesburg, Fla.) chipped in 9 points. Douglass led the team with five rebounds. <br /> <br />Coker&#8217;s Mason Ambler (Atlanta, Ga.) scored a game-high 23 points, including scoring his 1,00th career point, while Delonte Doles (Roswell, Ga.) and Liam Kyle (Cleveland, Ohio) recorded 14 points and 10 points, respectively. Kyle led his team with five rebounds. <br /> <br />The Saints trailed 28-21 at halftime. The game was close during the first period, with neither team gaining more than a four-point lead in the first 17 minutes of play.  Coker increased its lead to seven in the final three minutes of the period. The Cobras outscored Limestone 39-34 in the second half for the victory. <br /> <br />Both teams posted similar field-goal percentages, with Limestone shooting 20-41 (48.8%) and Coker going 23-47 (48.9%). The Saints had 15 points from long range compared to the visitor&#8217;s 3 points. The Cobras were 20-29 in free-throws as Limestone was 10-18. Each team posted 27 rebounds. <br /> <br />Limestone hosts St. Andrews Presbyterian College in conference play on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Timken Center in Gaffney. The Cobras host Barton College on Monday in Hartsville, S.C., at 7:30 p.m.<br />
