Sumter, S.C. – A Morris free throw with just 1.4 seconds left in the game gave the Hornets a 56-55 win over the Coker Cobras in men’s collegiate basketball action on Wednesday night. The loss is the Cobras second in as many days, dropping their overall record to 3-3.

The Cobras had difficult time controlling the basketball, committing 32 turnovers as a team leading to 25 Morris points. Coker also shot just 37.7 percent from the field and was just 2-for-16 from 3-point range. Coker did hold as much as a six point lead in the game, but was unable to hold on down the stretch.

Leading the Cobras with his fourth straight double-double was Mason Ambler (Atlanta, Ga.) with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Ricardo Smith (Darlington, S.C.) had nine points and four rebounds and Delonte Doles (Roswell, Ga.) had eight points and three rebounds for the Cobras.

The Cobras return to action on Saturday, Dec. 5, when they travel to Greenville, N.C. to face division I East Carolina University at 7:00 p.m.
