GAFFNEY, S.C.  Senior Cobra Jason Fulwood recorded his 1000th career point on Thursday night as Coker took on Limestone College. The Saints defeated Coker 77-50. Fulwood had 12 points and was the only Cobra to score in double figures, giving him a career total of 1011 points with two regular season games remaining. The Saints stand at 11-5 in the conference (16-7 overall) while the Cobras fall to 4-14 in the CVAC (7-18).

Terrell Smith (West Columbia, S.C.) led Limestone with 21 points. Marq Bell (Raleigh, N.C.) went 4-for-4 from long range (5-for-6 overall) to score 14 points, and Andre Coleman (Clermont, Fla.) scored 12. Shawn Poppie (Crescent City, Ill.) had team-high six assists to go along with six boards, while Sam Hampton also had six rebounds in the contest.

Chaz Smith led the Cobras with five rebounds.

Limestone had a 41- 22 lead going in the second half before out-scoring the visitor 36-28 in the second period for the win. Limestone had 36 points from three’s, while the Cobras only had 15. Coker shot 44.2% for the game (19-43) while Limestone nailed 29-of-51 field goals (56.9%).

Coker will take a week long break before they return to the floor next Thursday, February 22, for their final home game of the season versus St. Andrews Presbyterian College. The Cobras will recognize their two seniors, Jason Fulwood and Abram Ludd, before the game at 7:30 p.m.
