Hartsville, SC- Coker dropped a hard non-conference game 71-61 to the visiting Morris College Hornets in men’s collegiate basketball. Coker is now 7-17 on the season.

Coker may have had the hot hand last night in their game against Anderson, but tonight the Cobras went cold from beyond the arc. Coker shot just 30.3 percent from three-point range and just 34.6 percent from the field.

Both teams were bitten by the turnover bug, as the Cobras committed 26 turnovers and Morris committed 14.

Leading the Cobras scoring efforts was Jason Fulwood with 21 points, while Brother Ryan Fulwood added 12 points of his own.

The Hornets leader was Joseph Hayward with 24 points, eight assists and four rebounds. Raymond Nelson and Antron Franklin also scored in double figures for Morris, with Nelson netting 13 points and Franklin scoring 11 points, with 8 rebounds.

The Cobras return to the floor on Thursday, when they travel to Limestone College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
