Hartsville, SC- The Cobra Men snapped a two game losing streak with a decisive 69-48 victory over the Trojans of Anderson University on Monday night in men’s collegiate basketball. Coker improves to 7-16 on the season, and 4-13 in the CVAC, while Anderson falls to 3-20 overall, and 3-13 in the CVAC.

 

The game started slow with neither team really shooting very well, but then the Cobras “Bomb Squad” got fired up. In the first half alone the Cobras sank 9-of-17 from long range, while the Trojans only made nine field goals the entire first half.

 

In the second half the bombs continued to drop as the squad dropped 8-of-14. Overall Coker shot 54.8 percent from beyond the arc in the game, with 17 total three-pointers made.

 

Leading the “Bomb Squad” was Jason Fulwood with 16 points, including four from way downtown, while Ben Brim poured in 14 points, also sinking four from three-point range. Lukas Varga and Blake Terrell each scored 11 points for Coker.

 

Kris Fudzinskas scored 10 points and had nine rebounds for the Trojans, while Nathan Russell also had 10 points with five rebounds.

 

Coker returns to the hardwood on Thursday, as they travel to Limestone College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
