Hartsville, SC- The Cobra Men’s Basketball Team dropped a tough conference game to Erskine College 65-57 on Thursday night in collegiate basketball. Coker now falls to 6-15 overall, and 3-12 in the CVAC, while the Flying Fleet improves to 9-12 overall, and 6-9 in the CVAC.

 

Coker had a very hard time getting things started, scoring just 13 points in the first half and scoring just two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Cobras came out in the second half and turned up the heat, scoring 44 points, unfortunately they were not able to overcome their first half woes and they took the loss.

 

Jason Fulwood and Lukas Varga each scored 14 points to lead the Cobras. All of Fulwood's points came in the second half, and he added five rebounds.

 

Erskine was led by Brandon Wright with 17 points and four rebounds, while T.J. Taylor scored 15 points with six rebounds.

 

Coker returns to the court on Saturday, as they travel to Pfeiffer University for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
