Hartsville, SC- The Coker woes continued on Monday night as the Cobras dropped the eighth straight conference game, with a 82-65 loss to the Limestone Saints. Coker (3-10, 0-8 CVAC) had another off night shooting, hitting just 32.3 percent from beyond the arc, while Limestone (10-4, 5-2 CVAC) shot 54.5 percent from three-point range.

The game started out with some hot shooting from both sides of the court and was a back a forth battle, before the Saints pulled ahead to take a 34-29 half-time lead. Limestone turned things up a notch in the second half, especially in the play from Shawn Poppie and Andre Coleman. Poppie dropped seven points, but it was his stellar passing and five assists that had the Saints rolling and his favorite target seemed to be Coleman. Coleman scored 20 points all in the second half, including going a perfect 6-for-6 from beyond the arc; he finished 8-for-8 in the game.

For Coker, the Fulwood brothers led the way; Ryan scored 18 and had three rebounds, while Jason had 17 points and four rebounds.

The Saints Coleman led all scorers with 26 points and two rebounds, while Poppie had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Terrell Smith finished the night with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Coker returns to the court on Wednesday, as they travel to St. Andrews Presbyterian College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
