DUE WEST, S.C. --- Guard T.J. Taylor had a career high 30 points to lead Erskine to a 79-70 victory over Coker Monday, but the victory proved costly for the Flying Fleet, who lost All-CVAC center Craig Williams for the season with a broken wrist.

Steals by Taylor and Jason Winecoff keyed a 12-0 Erskine run early in the second half that overcame a 39-32 Coker lead, before Williams went down hard on a driving layup attempt with 13:47 remaining and Erskine leading 44-39. Coker rallied to tie the game at 48, but Taylor hit a 3-pointer and his two steals led to another pair of baskets as Erskine took control at 55-48.

Key baskets by Taylor, Brandon Wright, and Drew Wallace kept the Fleet ahead the remainder of the way. Wright had 22 points and Wallace 11, all in the second half. He came off the bench to hit 3-of -3 from behind the arc. Williams, the second leading scorer and second leading rebounder in the CVAC, had 13 points and nine rebounds before his injury.

Ben Brim had 16 points, Lukas Varga 15, and Ryan Fulwood and Joel Hafner each 12 for Coker.

Erskine improves to 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference, while Coker falls to 0-4 in conference and 3-7 overall.  The Fleet will play at Pfeiffer Thursday at 7:30 p.m., while Coker will host Mount Olive also on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m.
