Hartsville, SC- Coker put together back to back wins for the first time this season, as they defeated the North Greenville Crusaders 73-47 in a non-conference collegiate basketball match-up Monday night. Coker (3-5) was again led by their three-point “Bomb Squad” shooting 19-for-42, 45 percent, against the Crusaders (3-4) defense.

 

Senior Jason Fulwood led the way hitting five of 11 from beyond the arc and totaling 15 points in the game, while also grabbing two rebounds and tallying two assists. Lukas Varga also had a hot hand for the Cobras firing 13 points, five assists and three rebounds. Blake Terrell and Ryan Fulwood each had nine points, while Terrell had five rebounds and Fulwood had two.

 

As for North Greenville, Daniel Morbitzer was a force on the inside, leading the Crusaders attack with 10 points and three rebounds. Amonzo Gantt, Kyle Vitko and PJ Schumacher each tallied seven points, with Vitko and Schumacher each grabbing six boards.

 

The Cobra’s now break for the Christmas holiday, and will not return to the floor until January 6, 2007, when they face the Queens University Royals at home at 4:00 p.m.
