Hartsville, SC- In their final home game at Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium, seniors; Johnny Jackson, Tim Smyth, Mark Duncan, Darian Kearney and Michael Pierce went out on top with a 73-67 victory over Anderson University on Monday night.

 

It was a back and forth game all night, but Anderson’s foul trouble and Coker’s precise free throw shooting, gave the Cobras the victory in the end. Anderson had 21 personal fouls in the game and Coker shot 26-for-29 from the line.

 

Jackson paced the Coker offense with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Pierce had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Also scoring in double figures for the Cobras was junior Abram Ludd with 10 points and five rebounds.

 

For the Trojans, J.R. Howell had 16 points and Ronald Bowers had 15 points and five rebounds. Tariq Naqqash added 14 points and three rebounds, while O’Tey Sellers chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.

 

Coker will play their final regular season game of the 2005-2006 season on Saturday as they travel to Erskine College. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. following the women’s game.
