Esports Falls to Florida Southern in the Peach Belt Conference Overwatch Tournament

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports Overwatch team took on the number two seeded Florida Southern in the Peach Belt Conference Overwatch Tournament on Thursday (Nov. 19).

The first map was Nepal, and Coker started strong. They took control immediately and only lost it briefly to take it right back, winning the round 100-18. The next round Coker was again able to take control first, but this time they kept control to win the round 100-0 and take a 1-0 lead. Map two was Havana, and Florida Southern attacked first. After a few back and forth fights, Florida Southern was able to cap the third point with one minute and thirty seconds left on the clock. It was then Coker's turn to attack, and they were just short of matching Florida Sothern's time but weren't able to get the final few meters, giving the round win to Florida Southern. Map three was King's Row, and Florida Southern was able to stop Coker at the first point. This was then followed by Florida Southern capping the first point to win the match 2-1.
