Coker Esports Falls to UCLA in Tespa Hearthstone Varsity Division

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Hearthstone Esports team faced off against University of California Los Angeles in the Tespa Hearthstone Varsity Division on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

Coker brought Big Spell Mage, Libram Paladin and Soul Demon Hunter. The Bruins brought Bomb Warrior, Soul Demon Hunter, and Control Priest. The first matchup was Coker's Libram Paladin versus UCLA's Bomb Warrior. Coker was able to get UCLA down to two HP, but UCLA was able to gain over 20 armor to stay healthy and win the first game. The next game Coker brought back their Paladin, and UCLA brought their Control Priest. The early game was back and forth, but UCLA was able to get the board in their favor with a full board of minions. Coker was unable to deal with the minions and UCLA won game two. The third game was Coker's Paladin against UCLA's Soul Demon Hunter. Coker was able to apply pressure early on but ran out of steam, and UCLA was able to come back and win the match 3-0.

Coker will be back in action on Thursday (Oct. 15) to compete in the Hearthstone Open Division at 7:00 P.M. Video will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
