ESports Falls to Columbus State in Peach Belt Conference Overwatch Match on Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University ESports team fell to Columbus State in Peach Belt Conference Overwatch competition on Saturday (Oct. 3) by a score of 2-0.

The first map was Numbani and Columbus State started off on the attack. Columbus State started off strong by unlocking the payload and pushing it through the map. Coker was able to stop them for a bit at the third point, but Columbus State eventually pushed through to capture the round. Coker was then forced to answer but was unable to unlock the payload giving the first map win to Columbus State.

The next map was Nepal and Columbus State again started off strong, getting to the point before Coker and not allowing Coker to change sides. This led to another map win for Columbus State ending the match 2-0.

The Cobras return to action on Monday (Oct. 5) in Open Division Hearthstone and the NACE Overwatch Fall Cup. The Hearthstone match begins at 7:00 p.m., while the Overwatch match against Blinn College begins at 8:00 p.m. Video for both matches will be available at www.cokercobras.com
