Coker Esports Falls Short to Henderson State in League of Legends

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University Esports League of Legends team faced off against Henderson State University in their second match in the Peach Belt Conference.

In the first match Coker was able to get an early lead through farming, and were able to accelerate the gold lead for a first game win. In the second game Coker fell behind, but Alex Mueller was able to keep the team in the game by stealing Baron with Veigar. However, it was not enough as Henderson State was able to defend their Nexus multiple times to win the game. In the third game Coker again fell behind early in the game. While Henderson State was trying to secure their Infernal Dragon soul, Andrew Schick was able to steal the dragon to give Coker some hope. Henderson State was able to rally back though to win the next team fight and win the game.

With this loss Coker starts the season 0-2. The Cobras will return for their next game against Montevallo on Saturday (Feb. 8).
