HARSTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker University ESPORTS Team had two players earn top honors in Overwatch.

Madison Schmidt and Andrew Schick both finished Season 19 with high rankings. Schick finished with a skill rank of 4228 in the Damage category, while Schmidt finished with 4062 skill rank in Damage and 3813 in Support. This puts Andrew in the top 450 of all Damage players. Madison is a dual threat with being in the top one percent of all Damage and Support players. The skill rank rating system is very similar to the ELO ranking system used in chess where you gain and lose skill rank depending on your results, but the amount of gain/loss is determined by your ranking compares to your opponent. To put the skill rankings in perspective the average skill rank of all players is around 2500. 

Each Overwatch Competitive Season lasts for two months, and season 19 lasted from November 7th to January 2nd. Both Schmidt and Schick have earned a Master or Grandmaster rating since season four of Overwatch. Both players have been in the top three percent of all players for over two years.
