Cobras Take Game Three Against Mars Hill

Mars Hill, N.C.- Cobras came out on top in a close matchup against Mars Hill University with a final score of 8-7 on April 14, 2024. Cobras take the South Atlantic Conference series with a stolen base late in the game by Ick Cirino helping Coker secure the win. 


The game started off with Mars Hill taking an early lead, scoring five runs in the first inning. However, Coker fought back and managed to secure the win with a strong offensive performance in the later innings.

Coker's Hunter Poole was a standout player in the game, contributing two RBIs with a double, while Ian Miller also had a solid performance at the plate with three hits. On the pitching side, Cooper Thomas earned the win after throwing 6.1 innings and allowing only one run. Cirino and Gabriel Santiago collected doubles throughout the game as well for Coker. 

Overall, it was a thrilling game between the two teams, with Coker ultimately coming out on top. The victory improved Coker's record to 18-16, while Mars Hill fell to 14-27 for the season.
