Cobras Take the Series Over Limestone on the Road

Game 1

Coker baseball dominated Limestone in a 16-4 win on March 30, 2024. The game was held at Founders FCU Stadium in Gaffney, South Carolina, with 82 fans in attendance.

Coker got on the board first with a solo home run by Kody Hanna in the second inning. Limestone responded with runs in the first and second innings to take a 2-1 lead. However, Coker exploded for five runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a three-run homer from Alex Lazar.

Hanna had a standout performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Lazar also had a big game, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Jaylen Mack added a home run and two RBIs for Coker.

On the mound, Aaron Diaz earned the win for Coker, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing four runs on six hits. C. Wagoner took the loss for Limestone, giving up five runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings.

With the win, Coker improved to 19-13 on the season, while Limestone fell to 18-17.

In a matchup between Coker and Limestone on March 30, 2024, Coker came out on top with a 7-5 victory. Coker's offense was led by Ick Cirino, who had a strong performance with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Kody Hanna also contributed with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. On the pitching side, Garret Dunn earned the win, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing 3 runs.

Limestone put up a fight, with Gavin Troyer and Tyler Champagne each driving in 2 runs. However, they fell short in the end. Marty Neal struggled on the mound, giving up 6 runs in 3.2 innings.

Overall, it was a competitive game between the two teams, with both offenses showing up to play. Coker's strong hitting and solid pitching ultimately led them to victory.
